Following a rigorous testing regime, Amerex Corporation, a major military subcontractor, has provided Stat-X generators for engine protection as part of its contract with Oshkosh Corporation for the M-ATV. Last year, Wisconsin-based Oshkosh won a multi-billion dollar contract to supply up to 10,000 M-ATV’s, a new all-terrain vehicle which can operate at elevated speeds on rough ground, and shield occupants from deadly IED’s. Such a vehicle has been in high demand on the battlefields of the Middle East.

A major part of the vehicle’s safety system is the engine fire suppression system which uses rapid fire detection and Stat-X generators to extinguish engine compartment fires within 30 seconds.

Over 40,000 Stat-X units have been supplied under the program, thus far, and Fireaway is proud to be part of this significant life-safety project in support of our troops.
