Our distributor partner, Randy Merritt of Fire-Gator*, presented at the 51st Annual National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) Conference held on October 13-16, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel, Arlington (Crystal City), Virginia. This event discusses urgent and emerging issues regarding safety and the future needs of student bussing. The topic of fire suppression is at the forefront of the agenda after the recent unfortunate school bus safety incident(s).
Randy’s presentation provided fire safety facts and the current risks in regard to fire protection for the school bus industry. The Show Reporter magazine has a recap of the annual conference in their article Generating Conversation at the Nation’s Capital. It includes excerpts from Randy’s presentation.
The event included the members of the house and senate to discuss the state of the school bus safety for students.
