Stat-X® Fire Suppression System: Manual Units

Using simple calculations, determine how many generators are required to provide total flooding of the space with Stat-X® condensed aerosol. After mounting the generators overhead using easy-to-install mounting brackets, the generators are interconnected via a cable pull that is run to one location usually located near the exits of the space.

Upon discovery of a fire, personnel evacuate the space, and the activation handle is pulled by immediate human intervention. The space is immediately flooded with Stat-X condensed aerosol interrupting the chemical chain reaction, causing immediate flame collapse, and suppression of the fire. There is no need for piping, tanks of agent, expensive alarm panels, or arduous testing requirements. Furthermore, if conditions require, the system can be activated while the space is occupied, but with no adverse health or safety effects.

An installed system of Stat-X fire suppression with manually operated units can be as complex as needed—from a single generator to multiple units to protect the same space. Using our simple system of cable pulls and pulleys, multiple generators can be attached to a single cable pull. You are not forced into a predetermined system configuration, but instead have complete freedom to customize your system of Stat-X manual units to fit your own unique situation.

Stat-X manually operated units are supplied in a variety of sizes to protect special hazard applications. For example, 30-gram units can be used to protect small enclosures (up to 1.44 m2), all the way up to the of 1,000-gram units (providing coverage of up to 23.8 m2 each). From small engine compartments all the way up to a larger space, Stat-X manual units can protect the space.

Stat-X is an advanced technology offering peerless firefighting capabilities gram for gram over gaseous agents. The rapid response of the Stat-X system quickly suppresses fires, thereby reducing damage and preventing uncontrolled fire spread.

In the event of a fire, Stat-X manual generators can be activated manually via a cable pull.

Upon activation, the generators produce an exceptionally effective, ultra-fine, potassium based aerosol. Unlike gaseous systems, Stat-X aerosol generators are cost effective to install and maintain — as they do not require the pressure vessels, piping, or expensive installation costs associated with other extinguishing systems.

Space and weight requirements are minimal and, in many applications, the small size of the Stat-X aerosol generators makes them the only viable option. On an agent weight basis, Stat-X aerosol is ten times more effective than gaseous agent alternatives.

Fire suppression is rapidly achieved through interference between the ultra-fine aerosol particulate and the flame’s free radicals — terminating propagation of the fire.

Stat-X aerosol generators are virtually maintenance free and have a shelf life of fifteen (15) years. This, coupled to their low installation cost, makes them an extremely cost effective fire protection solution.

Agent Container. The generator housing is constructed of exterior and interior stainless steel shells separated by an insulating material. The top and bottom of housing is stainless steel. The housing is sealed with a non-permeable membrane and incorporates a mechanical means to ensure rupture of the membrane upon activation. The housing is non-pressurized prior to system activation.

Finish. Brushed stainless steel.

Aerosol Agent. Aerosol generated is potassium based and manufacturer shall provide fifteen (15) minute time weighted average data from an independent United States laboratory demonstrating that the aerosol does not produce (at normal design concentrations harmful levels of CO, CO2, and NOx based on NIOSH standards. There is no ozone depletion potential and no global warming potential. Agent is approved for commercial sale by the US EPA.
